How To Be A Guest At Your Own Dinner Party

How To Be A Guest At Your Own Dinner Party

When it comes to hosting a party, I’m your girl. I love getting my friends together, all cozied up in my home, ready to pig out on the latest foodie trends. Whether it’s a four course meal or a fresh and fun charcuterie spread, hosting can be delicious but I also recognize that it can come with its downfalls. Sometimes it feels like offering to host, only calls for anxiety and tons of cleaning. Luckily, I have you covered so you can host the party and enjoy it for all it’s worth once your guests arrive.

I know it may sound crazy, but did you know that you can effortlessly decorate your place while barely lifting a finger? Yes, it’s true. If you know me, you know I can’t get enough of fresh flowers and luckily they make beautiful decorative accents for any party as well. My go-to for party decorating is the etúHOME sphere vases. The sphere bud vases come in a variety of colors so they can match whatever themed event you have going on. Not to mention, the quirky vases can only fit a couple stems of your favorite color flower, so you’re practically one and done. Flowers aren’t in season? Grab some greenery and it will do just the trick. It seriously couldn’t be easier!

The less time I can spend running back and forth from the kitchen to where all the action is at, the better. With an etúHOME trivet, serving my guests is a breeze. The wooden serving board lives on my counter as a hot plate. Whenever I grab dishes straight out of the oven, I set them on the trivet and carry them right on over to my table. It’s super effortless and also a pretty display that I always get questions about once it arrives at the scene.

Serving guests is one thing, but grabbing appetizers and refilling the charcuterie spread is one thing I despise doing while I’m mid-conversation. I love to top off my serving boards with a glass cloche to cover everything up, keeping it fresh but also allowing for guests to serve themselves. The addition of the ‘top’ to the appetizer spread makes people less hesitant to carelessly eat, so I don’t have to constantly get up and refill plates every ten minutes. Pair the dome with any of your favorite cake stands, trivets or charcuterie boards, easy as pie. I also love the look of piling treats up underneath a glass cover for a pretty presentation and a fun way to grab the sweets after a satisfying meal.
